Why converge
Ideas go further when we come together.
Open science made research visible. But access alone hasn't made research faster, more reliable, or easier to build on.
Now a new wave of ideas is rising to meet that challenge. Researchers are embracing new ways of working. Preprints, open peer review, reproducibility tools, modular publishing, and AI-ready research are transforming how science is shared and built upon. Funders and policymakers are rethinking what to reward and how. The ideas and tools are flourishing, but the communities behind them, from open science and metascience to research integrity and reproducibility, too often work in parallel rather than converging.
This is the moment to change that. Momentum, tools, and shared goals are emerging. What's missing is a place to bring them together.
Join us at Convergence, a new, community-led conference that brings together researchers, funders, research communication channels, technologists, and policymakers working to make science more open, connected, modular, and impactful. Convergence Conference aims to break down silos, share what's working, and turn shared goals into collaborative action.
For three days in Montreal, the research ecosystem unites to shape the future of science, together.
Building forward
An open invitation, built in the open.
Join Incentivizing Collaborative and Open Research (ICOR), ASAPbio, Continuous Science Foundation, and many other organizations and individuals in convening a conference on the future of open science, research integrity, broadened impact, and modular, AI-actionable research.
Volunteers across the research ecosystem are organizing the event because this work matters to them. Interested in contributing by volunteering, joining a committee, or helping build the gathering? Get in touch.
